Granning Lynx pioneered the installation of vehicle third axles to trailers and trucks/tractors in the early 1980's. Since then we have accumulated an enviable amount of expertise, and a vast library of Type Approvals in order to satisfy UK Type Approval requirements. We offer out Type Approval Services to compliment sales of axles and suspensions, to ensure that the necessary officialdom is simplified for the customer and that the completed vehicle can be used for its intended purpose before any work is started on it.
We have some of the very latest technology for recording vehicle braking performance and have written our own brake performance analysis computer software in order to enable us to remain at the very forfront in this area.
We also offer these services to customers who have not purchased equipment from us, but who require this type of expertise, although obviously we try to encourage use of our equipment. We have an excellent relationship with the Vehicle Inspectorate, Goods Vehicle Centre and with many vehicle and trailer manufacturerers and are widely respected in this field.
All Granning Lynx component and installation drawings are and have been for many years drawn using CAD techniques in order to ensure that components are correctly specified and fit together correctly. We offer CAD drawing facilities to anyone that requires them as an additional service. Turning circle calculations and drawings, and vehicle loading analysis are other specialities that Granning Lynx offer to any customer.
Obviously a lot of this type of work is customer confidential, and you can be assured that any work carried out by our Engineering Services Dept will not be passed to any third party nor utilised by Granning Lynx without the your expressed permission.
